It is for persons who are not violent but who otherwise exhibit major behavior problems to the point where they cannot safely live in more traditional long term care settings. The assisted living “challenging dementia behavior” program is for persons who are diagnosed with dementia and whose behaviors are too problematic to allow them to safely live in traditional long term care settings.

Description

Our assisted living has spacious apartment style living within a fully secured courtyard of citrus trees, green lawns, walking paths and patios. Separate dining rooms are available for each unit. Our community offers each resident courtyard access to enjoy green grass and fragrant trees. The unique courtyard invites socializing within a secure, home-like environment nestled in prestigious North Central Phoenix.

Both programs were designed specifically for persons with serious behavior problems who cannot live safely in other long term care settings. The outdoor setting is both spacious and comfortable, and has a distinctly calming effect on residents. Staff receive intense weekly training and are highly skilled in managing and caring for persons with behavior problems.
Medical and behavioral health professionals are on the premises weekly.
All residents have individualized behavioral treatment plans written and monitored by the clinical psychologist that helps direct their treatment and care. The effectiveness of our program allows us to actually diminish the use of psychotropic medications in most cases. Both programs accept ALTCS.
